“There was nothing different about that day. Bradley had the day off, so he got up early and went duck hunting. That was not unusual. Sometimes he got up early to go duck hunting before he went into the office. But on the weekend, if he went hunting in the morning, he’d be back by lunch time. And if he wouldn’t, he’d call.
I hadn’t left the house that day. I was at home with our daughter. When I hadn’t heard from him by late afternoon, I put our daughter in the car and we drove up to Seminole. We found his Bronco parked in the first place we looked. It was Bradley’s usual launch spot. Didn’t see Bradley or his boat anywhere.
It was so unusual for him to be out on the lake that long, so I called the authorities. Thought maybe his boat had run out of gas, that he was stuck out on the lake somewhere. When they found the boat, but not Bradley, I knew something terrible had happened.”
